Ron has been advising and training industry leaders and entrepreneurs on project leadership, change, and growth since 1988. He is the author of numerous published articles, training manuals and two books, including The Complete Idiot's Guide to Project Management and Microsoft Project.



Ron's experience is diverse. In 1970, as part-owner and GM of a residential plumbing company, he grew operations from one new home per month to more than two homes a day. In 1977, armed with a marketing degree and additional coursework in construction engineering, Ron founded and operated a successful midsized mechanical contracting firm. In 1985, he became a VP in the marketing division of a Fortune 500 defense electronics company; and he has since served as an advisor, or interim manager, helping scores of organizations improve their profits, strength and growth.

Ron Black’s extraordinary success as a trainer is enhanced by project management skills and his systems-oriented approach to business. Ron has delighted and inspired thousands of seminar participants in 46 states, throughout Canada, and in seven Australian cities.
