Vincent J. Amen has over twenty-five years of executive experience in strategic planning, marketing and leadership of businesses that sell products and services in a B2B environment. He is focused on improving the financial results of organizations engaged in Business to Business Direct Marketing and the Marketing of Professional Services.
Vince began his career as School Director of Dun & Bradstreet’s Business Education Division, where he directed the refinement of correspondence course curriculum in the functional areas of finance, accounting and management. In 1977, Mr. Amen’s management skills and entrepreneurial drive were put to work in the Business Seminar Division of D&B. As Senior Product Manager, he directed the development, marketing and administration of a broad range of seminar offerings. In addition to providing training programs to over 80,000 business professionals, Mr. Amen managed the logistics and administration of over 3,000 seminars throughout the United States and Canada.
In December 1982, Vince became Marketing Manager for the American Management Association in the Information Systems and Technology Seminars Division. He was promoted to Director of Marketing for the Professional/Technical Group of AMA’s multiple-day seminar divisions with an annual promotion budget of over $9,500,000. Most importantly, he developed innovative strategic approaches to the marketing of seminars that resulted in a 25% increase to $40,000,000 in revenue during his tenure. He also initiated and implemented an integrated direct marketing strategy that generated over $25,000,000 in revenue for AMA.
In the fall of 1994, Mr. Amen became President of the American Management Association’s Padgett Thompson Division. In his role as President, he was responsible for developing strategic plans, improving organizational processes, and implementing management practices that drove the division to reach its revenue goals.
In 2000, Mr. Amen joined Franklin Covey as Vice President of its Public Programs Group. In this position, he has implemented Integrated Direct Marketing Strategies that led to over $3,500,000 in annual incremental revenue and improved the division’s profitability by over 500%.
